A Message from the Founder
At Greater Sole Purpose, we believe that access to proper footwear is not just a matter of practical necessity, but also a fundamental aspect of human dignity. Through our compassionate outreach and partnerships with local communities, businesses, and volunteers, we work tirelessly to alleviate the hardships faced by those struggling with footwear insecurity. By providing tangible support and fostering a sense of belonging, Greater Sole Purpose endeavors to create a more inclusive and compassionate society where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
Dedicated Soles
Our History
Founded in 2015 by Kelvin Gorman. Greater Sole Purpose originally emerged as a mission dedicated to supporting the less fortunate within Gorman's church and neighborhood. The initiative evolved into a comprehensive effort that extended beyond its initial scope. "I've always held a vision of distributing 1,000 shoes to those who need them most, especially underprivileged children and youth," expressed Gorman. Today, Greater Sole Purpose not only fulfills this vision but also extends its outreach to include underprivileged youth and adults, providing footwear that meets their specific needs and sizes.
